P2P heroes say ‘help us hit £100,000’

The 12 women of the GM Fundraising Paddle2Pedal challenge returned tired but triumphant on Saturday and issued a new plea to the industry – to go on giving and help them to push the total raised past the £100,000 mark.

By the time they had completed their epic task by canoe, abseil and cycle they learned would only take one final big push to hit six figures – way above what they had expected when they first mooted the idea.

The 12 began by canoeing 100 miles down the River Wye, then tackled a 120-foot abseil down Symonds Yat, then cycled 100miles – including 7,00 feet of climb – to end their journey at Hope House Children’s Hospice.
