Rugby-based Häfele UK raised over £1,000 this month for the Warwickshire Air Ambulance and Make a Wish Foundation, after staff members completed the gruelling 10km Reaper Challenge in Coventry this month.
33 employees at Häfele UK’s headquarters on Brownsover Road, ran, jumped and crawled their way through the challenging obstacle course, to raise funds for the two charitable causes.
Sally Harrison, member of the Häfele UK charity fundraising committee, said: “The challenge was exhausting, but crossing the finish line was made all the sweeter by the huge sum of money the Häfele UK team has raised for our chosen charities. We’ve dragged ourselves around the Reaper challenge two years in a row now and are proud to support causes that make a difference to people’s lives both locally and nationally.”
Häfele UK is a leading employer in Rugby, and has been supporting charities in the UK for over 30 years.
Sally continued: “There is a business-wide desire to support good causes as we regularly host sponsored activities and many staff partake in a salary donation scheme. We’re already looking forward to next year’s challenge!”
