Unique networking event builds industry partnerships
28th October 2014

Reynaers first ever R-Cuisine networking event proved to be a resounding success recently when over 20 professionals from the building industry attended.

“R-Cuisine is all about collaboration, building partnerships with key specifiers in the industry, but in a unique environment,” explained Reynaers Ltd Managing Director Justin Hunter. “It provides industry professionals and our partners opportunities to network building lasting associations in line with our ethos, ‘Together for Better’.”
Within its daily operations collaboration is singularly important to Reynaers especially in the early stages of a building project.

Set in the inspirational Scandinavian setting of Aveqia, London, the concept behind the experience, was to bring together building professionals to prepare and cook their own food while collaborating in groups. While the challenge may have seemed daunting, professional help was at hand in the form of celebrity chef James Martin and his team.

After successfully preparing and cooking each course the groups sat down to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

There were some extremely interesting comments from those professionals participating on the day:

“Reynaers are to be congratulated for being entrepreneurial enough to come up with this great idea. It’s been a fabulous day,” Stephen Field, Managing Director, Melaway Glass.

“It’s been really good to meet and work with other people in our industry I wouldn’t normally get to meet in such a different situation. So yeah, it has been very good.” Kieren Curry, Envelope Category Manager, ISG.

“The teamwork aspect of the day is absolutely fantastic. One person is doing one part of the menu while the others complete the rest bringing the whole together. Really enjoyed the experience and James and his team are just incredible.” John McComb, Technical Director, Reynaers Ltd.

“I really didn’t think at the beginning of this a group of people who are in the building industry were going to produce food like they did,” added James Martin, “an amazing job!”

Added Justin Hunter, “As the comments from our guests inferred, R-Cuisine has been a great success and we will definitely be repeating the initiative again in the future carrying on the process of building even closer partnerships with our customers, specifiers and industry partners.”
