Magden strengthens its top team

Fast-growing PVC building and insulated glazing products distributor Magden has added to its top team.
 
The company’s new operations director Carl Dent brings with him 11 years’ senior management experience in the roofing and roofline sector.
 
Magden’s commercial director Laurence Hicks explained that Carl’s emphasis on a customer driven culture had made him ‘a great fit’ for the brand.
 
He said: “Market orientation is the cornerstone of our business strategy. While Carl is an expert on the operational side of the business, he also brings the added value of being very customer focussed, which is a great fit for Magden.”
 
Carl, who previously worked as a branch director for roofing and roofline specialist SIG, has wasted no time in getting to grips with his new role. Within his first month he has started work on a new apprenticeship scheme and has plans for further employee development.
 
Speaking of his new appointment Carl said: “Opportunities to join a company like Magden are rare. It’s independent, has a strong focus on customer service and is undergoing a period of significant expansion. It really is an absolute privilege to join the team.
 
He added: “My focus will be on the operational structure and developing staff. We have some excellent people at Magden and want to make sure they have the right training and career opportunities to allow them to progress within the company.”

 Magden, which is headquartered in Bury, has five depots across North England, including a new branch in Blaydon, near Newcastle. The company’s reputation for reliable customer service and breadth of stock has seen its client base expand across the UK.
