Training and Development Award:
Epwin Fabrication
28th November 2017

The fabrication division of the Epwin Group is celebrating a successful night at The G17 Awards, winning the Training and Development Initiative of the Year award in recognition of Epwin Fabrication, including Sierra Windows and Permadoor, which has helped over 250 employees achieve NVQ Level II qualifications.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award and couldn’t be prouder of our employees who deserve all the recognition for their commitment and hard work,” said Epwin marketing director, Sharn Samra. “It has always been an overriding commitment at the Epwin Group to provide our employees with all the tools and support they need to reach their full potential.”

Paul Tranter, national sales director, Trade, replied. “We share the Epwin Group’s ethos of providing a career-based occupation, creating a platform for our employees to unlock their full potential and really take pride in their employment. Through our involvement in the training scheme, we have seen benefits too with an improvement in staff morale as well as an increase in customer satisfaction.”

Maintenance engineering manager David Welsby added: “Our apprentices have helped implement cost-saving schemes and ideas into the factory. This is not only great for Permadoor and Epwin but also for them. It’s important to feel your contributions are valued and there is nothing better than improving factory efficiency and saving money.”
