Gasket-in aluminium unveiled
28th May 2019

ALUK used the FIT Show to reveal details of its new C70S 70mm window system said to be the first such in the UK to come with pre-inserted gaskets.

Speaking at the show, Managing Director Russell Yates said “The AluK C70S will be pitched directly at the mid-rise commercial market where there is still plenty of potential for growth in aluminium. It is the new big brother of our iconic 58BW window system and incorporates everything which we know fabricators and installers love about the 58 – but with even faster, simpler fabrication and much improved performance.”

“The C70S will be the platform on which we build an entire new range of products, giving our customers the same benefits of system integration which they already enjoy with the 58BW.”

Thermal performance of the system is between 1.0W/m2K and 1.3W/m2K, a 50mm glazing option allows for improved acoustics and a max sash weight of 150kg for tilt before turn windows, and wind and water tightness levels are said to be class leading - even with large span window openings.

AluK also previewed a new slim sliding door at the FIT Show, said to have ‘all the minimalist styling which discerning homeowners now demand and a simple single glass bonding operation to make it appeal directly to fabricators.’

On the stand, the company announced that the Luminia S119LM will sit between its Optio BSC94 and Luminia SC156 sliding doors, giving customers ‘a cost effective new option for all those applications where slim sightlines are the primary consideration.’

The new door measures 20mm at the interlock, has a concealed outerframe and can go up to 3500mm in height.
