Sale of Sash UK to
ex-Safestyle Ross and Lilburn
28th June 2016

Former Safestyle Directors John Ross and Nick Lilburn today confirmed that they have acquired the Sash Group of companies, and added that “it will be very much business as usual.”

Sash UK, operating from a 112,000sq ft factory in, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, was listed in the Insight Data 2014 report as the UK’s 28th biggest UK fabricator with turnover of £12.3million. The news comes shortly after Sash UK celebrated 50 years since it was founded by joiners Ron Bean and Terry Morrell. As well as being a long-standing Veka fabricator, it is also credited with being instrumental in the foundation of Network Veka, of which it is still a member.

John Ross was formerly Chairman and Chief Executive of Safestyle UK and Nick Lilburn its Group Finance Director.
In a joint statement issued today, they said: “We would firstly like to congratulate Ron, Terry and everyone involved for building such a great business.

As we take over, it is a really exciting time in the window industry with many opportunities to grow and expand. We will be working hard with the team to continue the success of the Sash Group, including Fitrite, and build our business in our chosen markets; it will be very much business as usual.”

The statement added that the former shareholders of the group have decided it is time for them to retire.
