Don’t let the sun go down on…
28th July 2015

Slough-based Abbey Windows teamed up with trade fabricator ASTRASEAL, to replicate a traditional summer house that had formerly stood in the grounds of a property formerly owned by Elton John’s mother.

Abbey worked closely with its supplier Astraseal to bring the project to fruition, installing a white aluminium glazed summerhouse with two sets of French doors and solid panel rear. A grey Global aluminium roof was fitted, which featured thermally efficient solid aluminium panels.

Perry Davis, director at Abbey Windows, said: “We received an unusual request for a replica summerhouse, and through working with Astraseal we were able to fully meet the client’s expectations. Not many companies would know where to start with a project like this, but thanks to our partnership with Astraseal, we were able to draw-up plans and offer a solution. The finished project is very impressive, offering great views out onto the river, and the client is delighted.”

Zac Nedimovic, marketing manager of Astraseal, commented: “The Abbey Windows project is a perfect example of how Astraseal can help installers tackle the most unusual conservatory installations. We always aim to give our customers an advantage over the competition, so as part of this philosophy we’ll do more in the factory so the installer has less to do onsite.”
