NEW VERSION OF KENRICK’S EXCALIBUR IS A REAL PLUS

Leading hardware supplier Kenrick has unveiled the latest product to join its flagship range of Excalibur products. Excalibur Plus is an exceptional new multi-point claw lock which has been created to combine the very highest levels of security and smooth operation for the homeowner with speed of fabrication and flexibility for the window fabricator.

Excalibur Plus benefits from a high performance central gearbox with retractable claws and shootbolt bars with steel mushroom cams. The cams move in opposing directions to aid compression and prevent the sash from being lifted. The retractable claws sit below the gearbox cover plate and the mushroom cams sit on the high strength shootbolt bar. They all locate into specially designed keeps attached to the window frame to provide up to eight high security locking points on the opening side.

When used in conjunction with high quality hinges, each window has up to 10 locking points, making Excalibur Plus one of the most secure locks in its class. Two high strength steel rods located in the keeps at the top and bottom of the window add to its security.

Excalibur Plus brings several advantages to the fabricator too. It features an extendable ‘non crop’ gearbox to speed up fabrication time and is available in both 20 and 22mm backsets. It also fits all Eurogroove systems, making it a very flexible option.

Excalibur Plus is BBA and Secured by Design approved. It has also been successfully tested to more than 100,000 operations of opening and closing the window and provides more than 240 hours of intense salt based corrosion to exceed the requirements of BS7412.
