Halo clip-on cills simplify external insulation

Halo – a brand of The VEKA Group and the UK’s leading brand of energy efficient doors, windows and fenestration packages – has introduced a range of PVC-U clip-on cills that simplifies and speeds up the retro-fitting of external insulation across its four PVC-U systems.

The clip-on cills mean that the external insulation can be installed leaving doors and windows in situ, with the cills then being fixed in as part of the final fix. Available in depths of 122, 192 and 242mm – depending on the system material – these projecting clip-on cills will fit over any thickness of external insulation to provide a neat, aesthetically pleasing finish. This makes them ideal for retro-fitting homes that need their energy and thermal efficiency performance upgraded.

Similarly, in the new build environment, clipping on the cills after the doors and windows have been fitted has an additional advantage in that the most common damage to windows and doors during construction is to the cill. If this is simply clipped on at the end then this potential defect is avoided, leading to less snagging before handover.
