Western charm
A southwest-based glass and glazing company has expanded its business by moving into larger premises and adopting the use of Tremco illbruck’s Duralite.
Set up in 2004, Glass and Sealed Units last year became a member of the CWS Group of companies, and moved into a new factory alongside the pvcu frame fabricator’s headquarters at Dunkeswell airfield in East Devon. The group serve clients from Dorchester down as far as the Cornish border, as well as a variety of markets including trade, retail and social housing.
Tremco illbruck helped Glass and Sealed Units design and structure the financing of a comprehensive glass line capable of producing up to 1,000 sealed units per week. Within this flow optimised operation, Tremco Illbruck’s high performance Duralite warm edge spacer bar system is introduced using a special application tool; positioning the two panes at the correct distance apart.
Andrew Clements, the MD of all group companies, said: “The whole group is using Duralite sealed units from Glass and Sealed Units, though the IG company is also selling to a lot of other clients as well”.
The production manager for Glass and Sealed Units, Mike Rowland, added: “We have included Duralite as part of the information on our website - www.glassandsealedunits.com
