New suite from Sapa
Dualframe 75mm Si Tilt Before Turn windows are the first of a new range from Sapa Building Systems. Designed to exceed the next round of improvements in thermal performance under Part L of the Building Regulations, Dualframe 75mm Si incorporates advanced polyamide thermal break technology to deliver exceptional U-values and WER rating using double glazed units. A U-value of 1.0Wm2K is achievable by moving to triple glazed units.
Extensive weather testing has also underlined highest class performance for water tightness, air permeability and wind resistance, achieving Class 9A (600Pa), Class 4 (600Pa) and Class E (2400Pa) respectively. All weather (BS6375-1), mechanical (BS6375-2) and security (BS7950) testing has been carried out at BSI and Dualframe 75mm Si TBT windows have been added to Sapa’s existing Kitemarked and Secured by Design licensed product range.
Fabricators should appreciate push-to-fit seals, a choice of corner jointing methods and symmetrical outer frames, all of which help to speed up manufacture. On site, an integral reverse rebate feature eliminates the need for coupling profiles and minimises sightlines where an externally beaded fixed light or open out vent is required next to an open in vent.
