School report

Veka fabricator, S&A Developments recently supplied a large number of windows for a Manchester primary school along with a floor to ceiling feature window.

G Smith Glazing, of Bury installed the 120 windows, including curtain walling, at St. John Boscos Primary School in Blackley, Manchester. Owner Greg Smith said: We were very lucky to be given the chance to take on this job as it was the first installation of this size that we have done, but we took it in our stride and successfully completed the project.”

Previously made of timber, the screen mullions and windows have been replaced using Veka PVC-U profile, supplied by Veka customer and Network Veka member, S&A Developments, and the project took around eight weeks to complete.

S&A director Dave Connell said: “This project was a big challenge for us, as it was the first of its kind that we've taken on. But with the help of the Veka technical team, it has all come together really well, and the customer is thrilled with the finished job.”
