First Q-Card

Kestrel has awarded the first Q-Card to Ultegra Services for achieving the GQA Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Domestic Fascia, Soffit and Bargeboard Installation (QCF).

Kestrel offers the NVQ qualification exclusively to its registered installer customers. “The NVQ is designed to give the homeowner additional peace of mind knowing our registered installers have had formal training in fitting roofline products, legislation affecting the products they sell, and more specifically the benefits of installing products from the Kestrel range,” Simon Reynolds, sales and marketing director of Kestrel, said. “Ultegra is the first company to put its team of installers through the training programme.”

GQA acting chief executive, Mick Clayton, and Laurence Hicks, divisional manager for Latium Building Products, attended a presentation at Ultegra Services, where Ultegra installers received their certificates.

Neil Whitfield of NW Training said: “The roofline industry has been keen to recognise the skills that installers have and the GQA qualification for Domestic Fascia, Soffit and Bargeboards installers is the ideal solution for installers wishing to formalise their skills and experience. NW Training has vast experience in the Home Improvement sector and is able to work with large organisations such as Kestrel to raise standards across this sector.”
