Sales increase through tapping into conservatory market opportunities
27th May 2014

Paul Saltis and the team at Connaught Conservatory Roofs are celebrating sales results which demonstrate there are opportunities in the conservatory market for installers positioning their products well. "Our sales are up 20% year on year which prove that there are some excellent opportunities for installers out there. We work hard with our customers to help them sell value-added products that breathe new life into existing conservatories and enter the extension market and we’re delighted they are having so much success.”

The perfect example of the value-added products that Paul refers to is Loggia Prestige from Ultraframe. The cost-effective package helps homeowners transform their conservatory from a plain white box into something very special. Two Loggia columns increase the thermal efficiency of the conservatory while also transforming its appearance. An interior lightbox and pelmet add drama and subtle elegance to the conservatory’s interior while a cornice adds elegance to the exterior by shrouding the existing gutter.

Connaught also has solid roof products that will transform ageing, thermally inefficient conservatories into year-round spaces. The best-selling product in this area is the LABC-approved GuardianRoof, a lightweight and thermally efficient solution that can be configured for all conservatory styles and meets building regulations requirements for thermal insulation and structural integrity. Such products are also valuable for homeowners looking to create more space on a budget, allowing installers to enter the single storey extension market.

Of course, it isn’t just the products that are responsible for Connaught’s sales increase. Its tagline of “we do more so you do less” means installers also benefit from Connaught’s customer-focused approach. The company pre-assembles crestings and finials in the factory, and ring-beam cleats and rafters are pre-drilled and fixed, providing more savings for the installer by speeding up on-site installation time. Connaught has also introduced initiatives such as partnering with Rotherham Building Control Consultancy to let installers gain approval on the GuardianRoof for £300 + VAT.

Paul concludes, “Many forecasters predict a flat conservatory market, but our sales demonstrate that with the right approach there are plenty of opportunities to grow. Installers interested in finding out how to make the most of these opportunities should call me on 01709 710100 or visit us on stand 308 at the FIT Show.”
