DISTINCTION DOORS has celebrated gaining two nominations in the Be Well@Work Awards run by its home town Barnsley Council.

The event, before 200 guests at The Civic Barnsley and hosted by the Mayor of Barnsley, celebrated Distinction as double finalists in the category for Best Workplace Health Initiative, showcasing both ‘Diet with Distinction’ and ‘Mental Health in the Workplace’, while ‘Health in the Workplace’ also gained a runner-up award in the Medium Business category.

HR director Helen Lovack said: “Positive workplace health is such an important aspect of employment in any organisation, and we are incredibly fortunate to have the backing from Senior Managers within Distinction. As a group, we are empowered to represent the wants and needs of all staff, and do so by maintaining a dynamic approach to introducing new ideas.

“Experiences of mental health have touched the lives of many of our staff, and we are proud to be seen as an employer who is proactive in ensuring that people have a supportive outlet at work, should they need one.”
