Saint-Gobain Glass has launched SGG Timeless for shower panels and bath screens with longer lasting clarity and easy cleaning.
For the home or the hotel, SGG Timeless not only offers neutral transparency but its specially developed micro-coating means water slips off its surface, repelling limescale and keeping the shine, as well as drastically cutting cleaning time. Water runs off the glass, leaving no unsightly marks and condensation disperses faster, so the glass quickly regains its transparency.
SGG Timeless is also covered by a ten-year warranty for its anti-corrosion qualities.
Accelerated ageing tests show that, while standard glass soon takes on a whitish look from stubborn corrosion, the glass remains clear, clean and bright.
SGG Timeless is produced by magnetron-coating metal oxides to one surface of the glass, using a process developed by Saint-Gobain Glass. It can be used in all types of industrial processing, including toughening, lamination, curving and screen-printing.
Jenni Bailey, Saint-Gobain Glass Interiors Market Manager said: “Shower and bath screens have to take a lot of punishment but they still have to look good, whether in the home, in a hotel or anywhere else.”
SGG TIMELESS complies with EN 14428 for shower enclosures and EN 1096 (Class A) for the use of coated glass in buildings. It has a light reflectance of 10% and transmittance of 88-89% depending on thickness.
