ERA LAUNCHES THE VECTIS PLUS FAMILY

With home security remaining high on the news agenda, door and window hardware specialist ERA has focused on its Vectis Plus family of products, which offers a wide range of benefits for the installer and homeowner alike.

The Vectis Plus cylinder free door system is described by the company as being the ‘next generation’ in multi point locking products.  Meeting the requirements of PAS 23/24 and Secured by Design, the patented Vectis Plus features ERA’s tried and tested lever technology and is the first to arrive on the UK market with hardened plates to provide enhanced protection against attack.
Main benefits include five lever lock operation that eliminates the need for a euro cylinder. No cylinder, no problem means the lock cannot be subjected to cylinder snapping or bumping; and therefore meets the new TS007 accreditation as a three star product. This provides peace of mind for the homeowner while at the same time saving time in fabrication.   The system can also be keyed-alike to ERA’s Fortress mortice lock, thereby allowing a multi-point lock to be used on the front door with a mortice lock on the back door, both operating with the same key.

The Vectis Plus multi-point lock comes in either a 35mm or 45mm backset with a centre hook or deadbolt. Available in a wide variety of lock specifications such as the 3 Hook 2 Roller for PVCu doors and the 2 Hook option for composite or timber door, plus a Slave lock for French/double door applications. All gearboxes come with three brass keys.
Designed for use with the Vectis Plus lock, ERA offers a complete integrated handle solution suitable for PVCu, timber, composite and aluminium doors.  Available with Regency or Classic styling in lever/lever or lever/pad versions, the patented key guide system suits all profiles and sizes providing easy key alignment.  The patented integral shutter and internally fitted escutcheon cover offer PAS 023 protection; both the lock and handles include a 10 year performance guarantee.

The third member of the Vectis Plus family is the Universal Adaptor. Available in satin or polished chrome and satin or polished gold, the adaptor has been designed to slot underneath an existing handle backplate suited to profile cylinders to function with the Vectis Plus Locking System. The internal patented key guide mechanism enables the key to easily fit into the lock; and the integral shutter ensures weather sealing against air, wind and water.
