REHAU SALES MANAGER RAISES £1500 TO SUPPORT CUSTOMER’S CHARITY

Katrina Earl, an area sales manager at Rehau’s Manchester office and a novice runner, set herself a series of sporting challenges at the start of 2012 aiming to raise money for children’s cancer charity PACT (Parents Association of Children with Tumours and Leukamia).

Starting with a 10K race in March, progressing to a Sprint Triathlon in April and culminating in the Sheffield half marathon in May, Katrina has succeeded in raising over £1500 with the support of customers, colleagues and friends.

Katrina was inspired to raise money for PACT by REHAU customer Sheffield Window Centre which has adopted PACT as its chosen charity over recent years and holds regular fundraising events to help fund two holiday caravans for children and their families and home from home accommodation at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

At the Sheffield half marathon, Katrina ran alongside Andrew Currie from Sheffield Window Centre, although Andrew finished ahead of Katrina on what was the hottest day of the year so far.

Katrina said: “Running the half marathon was by far the hardest thing I have ever done but it was certainly worth it to be able to raise money for this fantastic cause and to support the team at Sheffield Window Centre.

“I’ve been inspired to continue running in the future and hope to be able to add to the £1500 I’ve already raised.”
