Alan Peel has been appointed Quality Manager at Mila with a brief to work both with the technical team in the UK and with its overseas manufacturers in the Far East.
Alan has an extensive and very valuable background in manufacturing, mechanical engineering and metallurgy and has previous experience in the hardware sector.
Alan says his immediate aim is to work directly and proactively with overseas vendors to drive forward continual product and process improvements, and he will also be working with Mila’s in house design team to ensure that continuous quality improvement is ‘designed in’ to Mila’s products and processes.
Mila already boasts market leading quality performance, with a product rejection rate of just 0.02% over the past 18 months and a strict policy of 15 separate QC checks on all Mila branded products, but Alan’s appointment indicates that it is not complacent about its position.
Mila has made a number of new appointments over recent months as it strengthens its leading position in the hardware sector. This includes new roles in IT, sales and warehousing.
