Technical Service Engineer

Field based, this is a key role in providing a full support service for our customer base. Responsible for managing an area of customers; providing excellent service to the customers upon installation of Synseal products.

Duties include:

Technical Support
• To fit customers tooling safely and manage any contractors working on behalf of Synseal, ensuring the work is completed safely and on time.
• To survey the requirements for tooling and software to set new customers up to manufacture Synseal products.
• Advise and Support customers with technical advice and assist with fault finding.

Training & Product Development
• Responsible for providing training for both Synseal staff and customers for profile products.
• To assist in the development of any new products, working collaboratively with production and manufacturing departments

Customer Service
• Regular customer visits to provide on-going support and advice on existing and new products.
Other duties include:
• Assist Synseal’s R&D department in product development.

The role will require travel in the North of the England, Scotland and the UK and nights away.

Specific person criteria:

Fully conversant with fabricating and fitting UPVC and Aluminium products and fully conversant with site fabrication environments and related issues

Smart and presentable

The successful candidate will ideally come from a windows and doors installation or fabrication background and possess excellent communication skills although this is not an essential requirement as full training will be provided.

Must hold a full clean driving licence.

Technical Engineer

Field based, this is a key role in providing a full support service for our customer base. Responsible for managing an area of customers; providing excellent service to the customer and assist with any technical issues that may arise with Synseal products after installation.

Duties include:

Technical Support
• To inspect, fault find and resolve customer issues with Synseal products.
• Ensure all remedial work is undertaken effectively and in a timely manner and dealing with the retail trade.

Training & Product Development
• To advise customers on best practise, fitting adjusting and setting up of Synseal products

Customer Service
• To provide a service to the Synseal customer base in a remedial capacity.

Other duties include:
• To show customers how to operate, maintain and install Synseal products.

The role will require travel in the South of the England and the UK with regular nights away.

Specific person criteria:

Fully conversant with fabricating and fitting PVCu and aluminium products. Mainly Vertical Sliders, Patios and Bi Folding Doors.

The successful candidate will ideally come from a window and door installation or fabrication background and possess excellent communication and report writing skills.

Must have a full clean driving licence.

Full Training will be provided.
