A hundred years of PVC has been celebrated as part of a display in London by the Epwin Group, which is also celebrating 40 years of its own history and marking both with the launch of a permanent display at the Building Centre in London which was launched last week.
Epwin subsidiary Swish Building Plastics marked the centenary with a scale replica of a Sopwith Camel biplane, itself celebrating 100 years since launch and recreated in model form with the company’s cellular PVC-U roofline board.
The group, which dates back to 1976, featured both anniversaries in its launch of the display at the Building Centre.
Marketing Manager Alan Calverley explained the goals of the new display: “With such a large portfolio of building products our task was to communicate the depth and breadth of the product ranges and also to allow the specifier an opportunity to learn the philosophy behind their development and production, achieving this with little more than a glance. We invite visitors to judge for themselves if we have succeeded.”
