A £15,000 thank-you

EMPLAS has donated windows and fire doors worth £15,000 to Kettering General Hospital and the University of Leicester as part of a campaign to refurbish the hospital’s Recreation Hall, used by staff and the local community.

Installed by T&K, Emplas’ retail arm, the new windows and doors complete the critical weather sealing of the 50-year -old building going into winter.

Ryan Johnson, Managing Director of the G15 Fabricator of the Year, said: “It was a great opportunity for Emplas and T&K to say thank you to the hospital staff from whom many of our own staff and customers have received excellent care over the years.

“Although in this instance we undertook the work as a charitable donation, the commercial sector represents a significant area of opportunity and potential business.”

Fiona Barber, Appeal organisers and Kettering General Hospital Staff Governor, said: “We asked Emplas and T&K Home Improvements to give us a quote for the work and were absolutely delighted when they offered to do it for free because they felt it was such a good cause.

“We can’t thank them enough for supporting our appeal and doing their bit for the local community.
