A smart debut

The UK launch of SMARTGLASS DYNAMIC, powered by SageGlass greeted visitors at the entrance to the Innovation Zone at the FIT Show, who saw electrochromic switchable glass technology in action for the first time, as a domestic proposition in lantern roofs.

Visitors were encouraged to invest in showroom models and were enticed by key incentives for orders placed at the show and with over 250 leads received, Clayton Glass firmly believe that electrochromic switchable glass in lantern roofs is now a commercial reality. Given this unprecedented interest in new technology at the event, the company was also placed runner up in the ‘Best Stand Designed under 80m2’ category in the FIT Show Awards 2016.

Jason McCabe, commercial director of Clayton Glass said: “We fully expect to generate sales of over 30 show models of various types with Smartglass Dynamic for showroom environments on the back of the show. The interest was quite simply staggering from the smaller installation companies to some of the larger national retail businesses in the UK and we look forward to getting these working showroom samples out and in front of the consumer.”
