A harvest of handles
26th April 2016

MILA officially launched its GRIP Colour espag handle at the FIT Show. The Carbon Trust certified ‘green’ polycomposite ABS handle is now multi-coloured and available in any RAL colour or gold or chrome finish.

The centrepiece to Mila’s stand was a giant tree with multi-coloured GRIP Colour espag handles as leaves and fruit and there were others throughout the stand matching windows and doors in PVC-U, aluminium and composite profiles.

Richard Gyde, Mila’s Managing Director, said at the show:  “GRIP is a truly clever and original product packed with features which give our customers a real head start in lots of market sectors.

“It fulfils all of the requirements from the commercial sector for a green product with low embodied carbon and, at the same time, it also offers lots of opportunities to win business from design conscious specifiers and homeowners looking for something just a bit special or different.”

GRIP™ Colour uses a polyurethane painted finish developed in partnership with a renowned supplier to the automotive industry.  The paint has been formulated to ensure optimum adhesion to the ABS, and it has been tested to ensure that it is fade, scratch and wear resistant.

All of the handles in Mila’s patented GRIP™ range are strength tested to more than 60kg and cycle tested to 50,000 cycles.  They are also corrosion and chemical resistant and offer a high gloss finish with inherent UV stability.

With seven pin lengths from 9mm to 55mm, they are suitable for use with PVC-U, aluminium or timber window systems and feature a clever ‘slide and clip’ screw cover for easy fixing.
