Double finalist

ROTO has been listed as a finalist in two categories in the London Construction Awards, which take place next month.

The nominations, in the Sustainable Construction Award and the London Build Excellence Award, is a result of the Roto Patio Inowa sliding system being used on two prestigious residential towers and helping contribute towards energy efficiency and sustainability. Roto is nominated for both.

In a partnership with aluminium systems brand Schüco, around 1,000 sliding units have been specified for One Park Drive, a residential tower in the Wood Wharf development designed by Herzog de Meuron. A further 600 units are on profiles designed by Wicona for the new residential skyscraper at Newfoundland Quay on the Western edge of the Canary Wharf site.

The closing action and all round locking means very tall installations can be placed on high rise buildings and still provide weather-sealing like nothing else on the market.
