Pyramid Profiles launches aluminium shopfronts
25th September 2012
Pyramid Profiles, the Midlands-based trade fabricator, has recently begun manufacturing a range of aluminium shopfronts for the commercial and retail sectors to satisfy demand from their growing number of trade accounts. They have opened 80 new accounts in the past 18 months.
The company diversified into manufacturing aluminium products at the beginning of this year following 17 years fabricating PVCu windows and doors.
They have teamed up with Universal Aluminium Systems, a leading multi-national provider of systems and products for the aluminium construction sector.
In order to begin fabricating aluminium products, the Pyramid management team made a substantial investment in setting up a dedicated 10,000ft² aluminium fabrication facility which included purchasing specialist fabrication machinery and a comprehensive programme of staff training.
So successful has the new business been, they have added a further 10,000 ft² of manufacturing space to cope with the anticipated demand for shopfronts.
According to Pyramid Profiles national sales manager – Danny Hague, demand for an expanded range of aluminium products has been customer led. He says: “Many of our customers have been looking to diversify into new markets as trading conditions remain challenging in the traditional newbuild and refurbishment sectors. Our customers have told us there is growing demand from the retail sector from small independents right up to large multiple chains.”
He continues: “We have an excellent working relationship with Universal Aluminium. They have 25 years worth of experience in the UK market and we are confident that with their support we will be able to offer an excellent range of shopfronts with service to match to our growing customer base.”
