Phoenix Door Panels has offered to help customers left with outstanding or incomplete orders for PVC-U door panels following the news that of Worcestershire-based Door Panels Ltd had ceased trading last week.
The Cambridgeshire-based composite door and door panel manufacturer is waiving its £10 delivery surcharge for 24-hour delivery on any of the 121 standard designs its brochure until the end of October.
Orders received for standard panels by 10am will be delivered the following day. Although specific glass designs can be replicated, these would take a little longer.
“We have had a lot of calls from window companies desperate to fulfil orders that were placed with Door Panels Ltd, which stopped trading on Sept 17,” said Haydon Statham, Phoenix National Sales Manager. “They hadn’t had their deliveries and were obviously concerned about their customers who were awaiting installation of their new doors.”
Haydon said their already highly-efficient manufacturing systems could cope with a sudden uplift in orders and panel sales were up by 10% compared to a usual week.
He added: “While it’s sad to hear of the demise of Door Panels Ltd, which had a reputation for service and quality, Phoenix is ready to step into the breach and look after the industry in these difficult times.”
