FOURTH HALL ADDED: MACO FIRST TO SIGN
25th September 2012
A fourth hall has been added to The FIT Show with hardware giant Maco the first to choose a stand in the new area.
Around 90% of stand space in the original three halls was sold by June, despite the plan being extended within weeks of the event’s launch. With just a handful of stands remaining on the original floorplan the the decision has been taken to open up a fourth hall, offering approximately 700 metres2 net of additional exhibition space. Maco is the first to take space, choosing a substantial stand in the new facility over the remaining stands on the original floorplan.
Matthew Glover, Managing Director of The FIT Show explained that enquiries are still being taken for stand space from all sides of the industry: “When we decided to organise The FIT Show we had to start from scratch. The last successful show for the glass and glazing industry took place years earlier since when the industry and markets had undergone huge changes. We therefore sat down and worked out who we thought would join us but as word has spread demand has completely outstripped our original calculations. We have the well-known names and also dozens of new exhibitors joining us; the industry has really taken The FIT Show to its heart.”
In addition to further stand space The FIT Theatre has been located in Hall 4, for which a programme of events is planned including GlassTalk ‘On the Couch’ sessions during which key issues will be discussed by experts and the audience. The FIT Theatre will also be the home of a series of sales seminars presented by renowned Paul Clifton, with other content to be announced.
One of the two FIT Bar-Cafés serving the event will also be located alongside Halls 1 and 4 providing food, a bar and a superb networking space, the other located at the entrance to Hall 3.
