Burntwood based Kommerling fabricator UNISEAL has joined the Secured by Design initiative, having achieved certification on a number of products via the recently launched WinMark Enhanced Security Certification schemes with Wintech Testing & Certification.

The WinMark Certification schemes allow demonstration of compliance with the requirements of SBD through certification against the following schemes: Enhanced Security for Doors; and Enhanced Security for Windows, and Uniseal passed with flying colours on both. Mike Wass, Technical Director at Wintech Testing & Certification said:
“Uniseal customers can benefit from the fact they are assured all products which comply have been properly scrutinised by a third party UKAS accredited test house and certification body. We know that Legislation, Regulations and Testing Standards can be a minefield to navigate, and so aim to help customers such as Uniseal unlock the ‘complexity’ with our knowledge and experience of testing and certification. Having launched the certification schemes in October of last year, we are delighted that so many companies have signed up. Uniseal was the first to do so, and the first to be granted certification under the schemes.”
