FRAMEXPRESS was recently contracted to supply windows, single leaf doors and double doors for Castle Brook, an 80 bed care home in Kenilworth, near Coventry, run by WCS Care.

Due to the vulnerability of the residents, the products were required to include both Secured by Design accreditation and restrictors on all opening units.

Colour was also an important consideration as sensitivity to the locality had been incorporated into the original design, and all products were supplied in an external anthracite grey with a white interior to help create a calming atmosphere for residents.

The frameXpress range has been incorporated into either two bedroom apartments or properties with a bedroom, lounge and kitchenette.

Commercial sales manager Sarah Price said: “On projects where vulnerable residents need solid guarantees regarding quality, performance and security, our industry accreditations speak for themselves. Supporting customers with technical advice and a fast service remains key for our commercial division.”

WCS Care runs 12 care homes across Warwickshire, five of which have been recognised as 'outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
