Patio door has SBD and Q

KÖMMERLING is launching its new PremiLine PRO patio door that carries Secured by Design and is fully Document Q compliant without the need for plunge bolts or exterior security measures. It also satisfies the requirement for Lifetimes Homes for the social housing market.

PremiLine PRO is been developed to meet new legislation and also satisfies a need to make handles/controls no higher than 1200mm from the floor, under the criteria set by the Lifetimes Homes standard.

The product comes as of a result of a six-month development programme with Fullex Locks and recent testing at BRE. An enhanced security upgrade kit is available from Kömmerling for its network of fabricators, which includes a bespoke interlock shootbolt system that is operated by a small doorknob to the side face of the interlock.

Fullex Locks is offering a security guarantee scheme, offering up to £1,000 to replace any damaged PremiLine PRO door and compensate for the intrusion in the event of break-in, for up to 10 years after the installation date.
