Holloseal sets the scene

Ely-based Holloseal Glass recently supplied all the sealed units and ceramic panels to the development of Chesterford Research Park near Cambridge.

Owned and developed by Aviva Investors (wholly owned by Aviva, the world’s fifth largest insurance group), Chesterford Research Park is a modern development set among 250 acres of natural landscape, which provides high quality accommodation for science and technology based companies of all sizes. The research park will eventually cover 56,500 square metres, approximately half of which is already occupied.

The traditionally painted ceramic panels, supplied by Holloseal, are used in non-vision areas of curtain walls. They are designed to conceal the less attractive parts of the wall from the outside – for example, floor slabs, heating ducts etc. They can also be used in areas to maintain privacy or security – for example, the ground level of a building.

Painted panels can be supplied on both 4mm and 6mm clear toughened glass. Holloseal Glass is able to match RAL, Pantone, NCS or BS numbers to offer an extensive range of colours. These products can also be provided with insulation backing if required.

“Chesterford Research Park is a magnificent development in Cambridgeshire that Holloseal is very proud to be a part of,” Paul Tooley, Holloseal’s sales and marketing director, said. “Aviva is a leading global brand, and the research park will attract some of the world’s major biotech companies. Holloseal rose to the challenge with stunning results.”

Picture: “Chesterford Science Park is a showroom of what Holloseal can offer,” said Paul Tooley of Holloseal.
