‘World’s first’ curved rooflight

VELUX is claiming a world’s first with the launch of CurveTech a curved glass rooflight for flat roofs.

The new rooflight also offers features including a control pad for operation of out-of-reach rooflights, pre-fitted rain sensors to closes the rooflight automatically and a combination of PVC frame and double-glazed inner pane.

The shape is said to provide natural drainage, reducing the need for regular cleaning while toughened glass resists damage from the elements.

Five sizes of rooflight will be available in April, with three more at the end of May.

“With our new curved glass rooflight, we have expanded the choice of flat roof windows available to homeowners, allowing them to mix and match to suit each room in their home.”
