Chris Alderson is new Edgetech MD

Quanex Building Products has appointed Chris Alderson to succeed Andy Jones in the position of Managing Director of EDGETECH UK.
George Wilson, President of Quanex IG Systems said: “Chris is well respected within the European insulating glass market, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role in the areas of leadership, planning, service and knowledge of the industrial and construction sectors in the UK and Europe. His dedication to service and elevating the fenestration industry will make him a great asset to Quanex and, most importantly, to our customers.”

During his 13 years at Edgetech, he was widely credited as the driving force behind warm edge spacer technology in the UK with the company’s Super Spacer range.
Alderson was previously with Bostik Europe for nearly 20 years, holding positions in sales, operations and executive management, most recently as European Business Director, Assembly Solutions. He is also active in industry organizations, currently serving as council board member for British Adhesives and Sealants Association (BASA).
He said of his appointment: “Edgetech UK is a thriving organisation with an excellent reputation in the UK and beyond. I’m looking forward to joining the team and continuing to uphold the tradition of excellence Edgetech’s customers expect.”

Alderson will be based at Edgetech UK’s headquarters and manufacturing facility in Coventry, which services both the UK and Ireland.
