Recycling comes to the West Country
24th March 2015

Veka Recycling has extended its national network of managed recycling facilities with the launch of a new centre in Cornwall.

Veka Recycling Centre Devon & Cornwall, in Indian Queens near St. Austell, follows the opening of the company’s new 18,000 sq ft Stourbridge site. As recycling volumes have grown, Veka Recycling recognised the need for a permanent company presence and collection process in the South West, to cater for fabricators and installers in the region.

“We were aware that we needed another size reduction plant to enable more efficient collections,” said Business Administration Manager Simon Scholes. “Not only that, it also cuts down our carbon footprint being able to reduce the waste PVC material on site before we send it to our Kent facility - plus it helps us to build a sustainable and reliable business moving forward.

“Having been working with a local recycler up until this point – whose staff have now joined our team – we are now able to be much more hands on and support local installers and fabricators with anything they may need. We’re a global strength, local to you.”

Founded in 2007, Veka Recycling Ltd is the UK’s industry leader in recycling ‘end of life’ PVC-U windows. Based in Kent with recycling centres in both the Midlands and South West, it offers a reliable, cost-effective and long-term service customers can depend on.
