CENSolutions, consultancy and test facility for the window, door and glazing industries, showed its support for the FIT show by offering advice and support on CE Marking and achieving certification to satisfy Secured by Design to visitors on the busy Wintech stand.

Wayne Rogerson, Joint Managing Director of CENSolutions comments: “This was our first year of supporting the FIT show but we have already committed to partnering with Wintech again at the next show in 2016. We saw a steady stream of visitors across the three days and at the end of day one could already say the investment had been worthwhile with plenty of good quality leads.

“CENSolutions teamed up with Wintech at FIT to offer their existing and potential customers independent advice on CE Marking – how to achieve it, the possible consequences of putting it off and the issues surrounding the policing of this legal requirement. We were also asked for advice on the range of certifications that, depending on the products manufactured, fabricators should have in place – there is clearly a lot of misinformation in the market that is leaving well-meaning companies vulnerable. Visitors were also very interested to find out the best and most cost effective way to achieve Secured by Design.

“CENSolutions has been working with Wintech, and ER Certification (ERC) for some time now to offer a package to fabricators seeking Secured by Design certification. CENSolutions provides consultancy and their own Gold CMS Mark to PAS 24:2012, Wintech provide the UKAS accredited testing to BS 6375 and PAS 24:2012 and ERC offer the required certification within its UKAS scope, as required by Secured by Design. Wintech are also our preferred accredited Test House for testing to the requirements of the harmonized European Standard EN 12150, EN 12600 and EN 1288, for thermally toughened glass.”
