New foiling machine

Window Widgets has brought profile lamination in house with the purchase of a FUX 83-PLM-300D model lamination machine.

The machine, supplied by White Extrusion Machinery, is designed for systems companies that want to foil their own profiles and companies requiring a machine that is quick and easy to set up for short runs.   
 
Window Widgets decided to make changeovers repeatable and even quicker by investing in a set of quick exchange cassettes for their latest residence9 window profile system, which uses pre set contour cassettes for the different profiles.

Changeovers from one profile to another can be achieved in 20-30 minutes with this system. The machine also automatically inserts high quality sealing gaskets after lamination avoiding any contamination on the profile with primer or adhesives. The machine is also set up for laminating the Window Widgets range of accessory profiles.
 
The PUR adhesive application system is by a 300 mm slot nozzle with built in 2 kg PUR pre-melter and a dry air system to provide overnight glue stability. Full monitoring of the lamination process takes place via a touch screen display. A fully synchronized pumped primer application system, which is also capable of running the latest water based primers, completes the system.

The machine runs at a speed between 1- 30 m/min. offering good economy and performance.    Coloured foils can also be changed on the run with the double foil reel system.
 
To complete the machinery package Window Widgets also invested in a FUX Foil Slitting machine to enable them to cut foil from mother logs according to their daily production requirements.

The package allows Window Widgets to apply full flexibility on foiled products in house and reduce work in progress in conjunction with their recently installed extrusion process.
