Internorm at Ecobuid
24th January 2012

Visitors to the Internorm stand at this year’s EcoBuild will find a range of Passive House windows and doors.

With a wide range of PVCU and PVCU/aluminium windows, specifiers can select systems according to the performance and aesthetic demands of their project. For example, PVCU windows are available in a white finish to the inside and outside. Alternatively an aluminium attachment cover for the exterior is available in a full range of colours, while there are also options for interior décor foils to replicate the look and feel of wood, or any RAL colour. Blending any of these options together will result in a unique window specification.

Different window designs offer a broad selection of profiles, suiting both older as well as more contemporary building styles.

Internorm also has a range of timber/aluminium window designs, and customers can choose from traditional as well as contemporary profiles. There is also a choice of interior finish in either spruce or larch timber. The performance of Internorm’s timber/aluminium windows is enhanced by a composite construction that incorporates an insulating thermal foam.

Additional features include Fix-O-Round technology, a choice of glazing including Solar+ glass, security measures, and accessories such as integrated blinds.

Fix-O-Round technology is a continuous all-round fixing for the window pane, providing a continuous connection for the glazing with the window frame. The benefits are improved stability, thermal insulation and sound proofing, burglary protection and greater durability of the window unit for its entire lifespan.

Solar+ glass is a specialist thermal coating, available on all triple glazed windows as standard. Solar+ triple glazing maximises the potential energy gains provided through solar irradiation. It prevents subsequent heat loss through the window with very low Ug values, helping to maintain a comfortable, cost, carbon and energy efficient interior environment.

“Windows and doors are key building components,” Internorm’s Thomas Hagen said, “They not only serve a functional purpose but they also enhance the architectural significance of any building design. With important performance criteria to fulfil, architects, specifiers and end clients or self builders are likely to have a long list of demands when it comes to selecting the right windows for a project.

“Because of Internorm’s extensive experience, with over 80 years of window and door design, development and production to draw from, our customers are assured of the best advice and complete support at every stage of the process.”
