Universal Trade Frames has been a customer of Solidor and sister company, Nice Door Panels, for more than two years.
The Shrewsbury based Spectus fabricator offers a product range that extends to casement windows, vertical sliding windows, residential doors with door panels, bifold doors, patio doors and composite doors using a Solidor slab and Spectus outerframe giving compatibility across the Spectus product range.
Universal says it was quick to see the ‘opportunity’ in 2nd generation door panels, which provide lasting performance in a wide range of colours. Similarly, the opportunity to sell timber core based composite doors is said to have ‘reaped dividends’, as the company feels the Solidor slab far outperforms GRP based doors, which lack features and are particularly limited in the number of internal and external colours.
Brian Kruger, managing director of Universal Trade Frames, said: “The products from Solidor and Nice Door Panels are of the upmost quality. They are also available in over a dozen colours, giving our customers more sales opportunities. It’s been a great two years and we look forward to many, many more.”
Gareth Mobley, managing director of Solidor and Nice Door Panels, said: “Universal have been a great customer for us and its pleasing to be able to work with such companies. They have shown that colours and other selling features are what the door industry needs.”
