Polyframe has just installed a new Rotox SMK 506-8K Horizontal 8-head welder and linked it to the existing 30-metre Rotox EKA 577 12-AxisCNC Cleaning and Operator Delivery Line, supplied and installed by Winmac UK last year.

This line has the ability for the operator to send welding frames directly from the new 8-head welder (SMK 506-8K) and fully welded frames can also be manually loaded onto the same delivery track but from two different manual welding areas. The operator scans the bar code on the relative frame and then loads that frame onto any of the two automatic transport tables, which then takes that frame and delivers it into the EKA 577 for automatic corner and transom cleaning, and then onto the special operator delivery system.


The new Rotox SMK 506-8K 8-head welder was also incorporated into Polyframe’s present barcode operating and tracking system.

Chris Watson, MD of Polyframe Trade said: “We recognised that existing machinery was getting old and not producing frames as accurately as we required, hence the purchase of the new welder. The new Rotox 8-head welder will ensure a continuance of the highest quality of product produced as well as reliability of machinery.”
