A handle on sales
Fab & Fix, one of the UK’s leading hardware specialists, has sold its 15 millionth Connoisseur window handle since the product was first launched 12 years ago. If laid end to end, the handles would stretch from the company’s Coventry office to Athens in Greece – a distance of some 1,573 miles or 2,530 kilometres.
Furthermore, the company reckons around two million of the 26.6 million UK households could now have these handles on their windows.
Doncaster-based Direct Trade (Yorkshire Ltd), a PVC-U window and door fabricator, took delivery of the ‘milestone’ item – an Offset Connoisseur left hand locking handle in white with a 30mm spindle. To mark the event, Fab & Fix northern sales representative Matthew Judge presented a celebratory bottle of champagne to Neil Rigby, technical co-ordinator and Mark Bellamy, production purchaser at Direct Trade.
