Security mesh

ATB Systems is offering a new anti-vandal mesh which gives a visual and physical deterrent without compromise on light transmission, on its existing Taurus range and its new Taurus Max range of aluminium windows, as well as on its Shopline commercial doors and the company’s robust social housing specification door suite.

Ideal for commercial buildings where security is important such as schools, colleges, offices, laboratories, hospitals, social housing entrances and IT units, the new Anti Vandal meshed windows and doors are part of ATB’s Secure range of products.

Not to be confused with retro fit mesh and frames that can stop or restrict light or the opening, the new mesh featured on the ATB window and door products incorporates the glass protection mesh as part of the integral profile resulting in clean lines, anti tamper performance and light transmittance of 60%.

Externally the window or door appears to be glazed with a bronze tinted glass which does not detract from the design of the building, but the mesh offers considerable protection against break ins and air rifle attack as well as being a visual deterrent.

Dave Simms, commercial manager ATB Systems said: “ATB’s anti vandal products are an attractive option for commercial buildings where security is paramount but design is also an issue. Rather than having to mix and match windows for different parts of a building or perhaps having to consider internal or external grilles, specifiers can opt for the flexibility of meshed or unmeshed windows and doors, without any compromise on light transmission aesthetics or security in vulnerable areas.”
