Merlin Network (Scotland) is celebrating record sales of PVCu windows following a 22% increase in turnover.
Sales and operations director, Colin Torley said: “We have benefited from strong sales with our existing customers, whilst adding new customers too.
“There has been strong growth in the new-build market. In particular, sales of the Fully Reversible Window have been promising. Following the signing of a sole supplier agreement for Scotland with Prefix Systems, we have grown the business in the Warm roof and conservatory roof markets.”
Merlin now plans to install a new 6-head welding machine, Urban AKS6610/6, and create a purpose-built showroom at its design and manufacturing facility in Dalgety Bay.
The record results and investment details come almost one year on from the formation of the Saveheat Group following last year’s acquisition of Merlin. The newly formed group also comprises Saveheat Glass, Blairs Aluminium Systems and Blairs Timber Windows. With Merlin, the company says it became the first company in Scotland to offer PVCu, timber, aluminium and glass products to the commercial, trade and construction industries.
