HAFFNER MURAT has commissioned a major expansion programme which will see the company’s Staffordshire headquarters double in size.
The new facility, set to be fully operational by next June, will provide a quicker flow through for the company’s machines along with new areas for machinery testing, painting and quality control. It will also provide additional space for machine assembly and testing aimed to give a quicker turnaround and improved efficiencies. The new site will also house new office and customer meeting facilities.
Managing director Dave Thomas said: “The new extension allows our business to continue to grow naturally and efficiently. As one of the few companies to offer a part-exchange service we have needed the additional space to turnaround these machines for future customers.
“Blocks of four or five machines will be taken to the new testing area to carry out the necessary checks. Each machine will be stripped down, cleaned and painting before sending to despatch. It will also provide valuable space for all new machinery checks too.
“The expansion is the biggest at Haffner Murat for some time and will enable the business to maintain its position as the go-to experts for new and reconditioned machinery.”
