VBH Golf Day Raises Valuable Funds

Hardware company VBH recently held a charity golf day in aid of Great Ormond Street and Birmingham Children’s Hospitals.

The hospitals were chosen as they are currently taking good care of Jodie, the granddaughter of a VBH staff member, and Matthew, the son of one of VBH’s close industry friends.

Over 40 golfers from customers, suppliers and VBH converged on sunny Leicestershire in the summer for a round of golf followed by dinner and an auction.

Over £4000 was raised, primarily through very generous sponsorship by key VBH suppliers Hoppe, Maco UK, Roto-Frank, Siegenia-Aubi, Strand Hardware and Yale.

The auction also proved a hit with people grabbing some real bargains including Olympic, cricket and football tickets, sports memorabilia, a lunch cruise on the Thames and much more.

The money raised was split equally between the 2 hospitals and VBH Marketing Manager Gary Gleeson remarked ‘The golfers had a great day and we were very grateful that so many of them took time out from their busy schedules to so generously support our worthwhile causes.’
