Network Veka opens its doors to Halo
23rd June 2015

Network Veka has gained a major boost to its growth as well as its national coverage with the news that it is to open up membership to Halo fabricators and installers.

The organisation stresses that it will continue to avoid competitive overlap in appointing new members and it is understood the body has been very selective in the companies it approached. Nonetheless, the news has not found favour with all existing fabricators, though the reaction from the majority has been very positive.

Network Veka is envied throughout the industry for its standards of customer service, training and guarantees and the Veka UK Group, which acquired the Halo brand and systems over three years ago, emphasises that those standards will remain unchanged. Group Sales and Marketing Director Colin Torley said: “It's only natural that we've opened up membership to other branches of The Veka UK Group. Halo manufactures quality profile that is highly regarded throughout the industry and we have no hesitation in supporting it with the same customer assurances we have for Veka products.”

On the matter of meshing the new members geographically, he added: “We have a responsibility to ensure that companies have a sufficient area in which to operate without inadvertently being placed in competition with other Network members. As such – and as ever – we are interested in recruiting only quality companies that fill the gaps in our current coverage, giving them the fullest opportunity to maximise the effect of our support.”

Veka’s biggest trade fabricator, as well as a long-standing supporter of Network Veka, is Northants-based Glazerite Windows Ltd. Director Jason Thompson told The Glazine: “The move to admit Halo fabricators is good news for all concerned. It will bring in new blood to push things forward and give the organisation a wider market, more volume and a stronger position in the industry as a whole.

“We are very much in favour of it and I know that most others are too.”

A number of Halo fabricators have already signed to join Network Veka. One of the first was Co. Durham fabricator installer BMW windows whose MD John Jefferson Snr told The Glazine: “We are very proud to be recognised as being capable of achieving its standards. It’s an endorsement of our quality and another way we can prove it to our customers.
