Distinction Doors has announced the recruitment of Dean Hempshall as Quality Health and Safety and Engineering (QHSE) Manager and Przemyslaw (Joe) Dojlidkoas Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
The appointments follow a six-figure investment by the company in machinery including saws, CNCs, edgebanders, paint facilities and related equipment, as well as new production processes designed to improve quality control and efficiencies while reducing waste.
Dean, joins from Howdens Joinery, will be tasked with improving the company’s reputation for quality and service by monitoring non-conformance reports and implementing measures to eradicate issues in the production process or supply chain. His responsibilities will also include the control of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to ensure that Distinction’s machinery is operating at suitable quality levels.
Joe joins in the newly created role to devise and oversee a comprehensive maintenance programme that supports an upsurge in productivity by minimising machinery downtime.
He will manage a schedule of upgrades and replacements, which ensures compliance with industry regulation is upheld, and by having a human resource dedicated to fault diagnostics and performance monitoring of equipment, the overall output of the factory will increase.
