Introducing Dual Locking Mechanism on Stable Door
21st October 2014

Tradelink, has announce the latest development on its stable door.

“We have introduced the FUHR dual locking mechanism on our stable doors which significantly changes the stable offering for the better,” says Jim Moody, Managing Director of Tradelink. “In the past stable doors have proved cumbersome and difficult to use, meaning plenty of call-backs for adjustment. Our new locking mechanism is light years away from this old model. The FUHR stable door gearing is two locking mechanisms which operate independently or in tandem for flexibility and security, while offering the same functionality as you would find on traditional timber products. The lower opening sash also incorporates a simple turn dead-lock lever rather than a second set of handles in the vertical or horizontal plane.

“There has been a resurgence in stable doors recently, in part thanks to the popularity of composite doors, but where this style is required on the back of a property homeowners are still choosing PVC-U over composite. Of course we can offer both options, but we wanted our installer customers to be armed with the best PVC-U option available. With the addition of this new gearing, a range of colour options including black, grey, cream and chartwell green and a lead time of 7 days, we believe we have done just that.”
