Rain didn’t dampen spirits at get-together
21st October 2014

A weekend full of laughter, business networking and recognition was delivered by Yorkshire-based Conservatory Outlet for its dealer network at De Vere Belton Woods, in Lincolnshire.

The social outing took place at the beginning of October, with 80 people from 20 Conservatory Outlet dealers attending. The two day event was filled with plenty of fun activities, both outdoors and indoors. A contingent of brave golfers took to the fairways, with some heading for shelter at the nearest bar after 9 holes, when the weather took a turn for the worst, and others playing all 18 holes in search of victory. Other activities included quad bike and Segway experiences, as well as a pistol and laser clay shooting challenge. Conservatory Outlet also booked the whole of the on-site spa for its guests.

As usual, the event culminated with a formal dinner and an awards ceremony hosted by Conservatory Outlet managing directors, Michael Giscombe and Greg Kane. There were ten awards for customer satisfaction based on online reviews received from homeowners in the last 12 months, as well as five “anniversary awards”, celebrating long lasting partnerships between Conservatory Outlet and its dealers throughout the last decade.

Greg also introduced the two newest members of the network: Balhousie Glazing from Perth, Scotland, and County – The Home Improvers, from East Sussex. A special mention was also given to Conservatory Outlet’s new directors, Ian Hayes and Neil Booth.

In his speech, Greg reiterated the uniqueness of Conservatory Outlet’s network and credited its members as more important that any one product or marketing initiative.

Greg said: “We never take for granted the close and collaborative relationship we have formed with every single one of our installer-customers and we value their contributions to our network activity. Our success is interlinked with theirs, which is why it is so important we work for and alongside our dealers at every possible opportunity.”

Conservatory Outlet regularly organises events for its dealer network, whether they are informal get-togethers such as this one, or other, more business-oriented reunions, including sales training and consultancy sessions.

Greg concluded: “Every dealer in our small community of clients has business interests in different areas of the country. The non-conflicting nature of our business makes it possible for us to meet and share our experiences and ideas in a friendly and relaxed environment. This aspect is invaluable to us and a fundamental part of what gives our network substance and longevity.”
